Without music there is no dance!  To see others dance is to be Inspired!  There are a lot of great resources out there to listen to Cuban Salsa and Timba music – to buy it.  To ask questions about dance and see it.

Listening to, Learning, and Seeing Cuban Salsa Y Timba

Timba.com  and  La Timba Cubana – Both great resources for listening to some of the latest timba music and keeping abreast of the timba scene.  Timba.com is also a great resource for learning about timba artists from around the world.

Timba para Sienpre! –  “A « salsa » webradio for the promotion of Cuban music through the streaming of classics, hits, rarities and new releases: Timba, Songo, Changüí, Son, Reggaeton, Conga, Rumba y Cha Cha Chá… A lo cubano !” You can also listen to this on your iphone or ipod touch using the Timba PS app .

Batanga.com  Web radio stations available to listen to a variety of music.

www.muchoswing.com  This is an all around great resource for video clips of people dancing the entire spectrum of Cuban dances, and bands playing – not just timba.

SalsaForums – Go here to ask questions and talk about the music and dance

SalsaBeatMachine – Here you can learn about the different elements that help make a song: the different instruments and the rhythms they play, 3/2 vs 2/3 clave, listen as songs such as Joe Arroyo’s La Rebellion are broken down for you, and so much more.
